A PARTNERSHIP

Working Relationships is the Employee Assistance Service of Anglicare WA.

Working Relationships staff have been providing Employee Assistance Services since 1997. Initial EAS contracts with mining companies in the Pilbara region of Western Australia were under the KinWay name, then in 1997 Working Relationships was registered, a Coordinator was appointed, and additional contracts were secured including four with WA Health Department services. Our experience in counselling, training, education and Critical Incident Response in an industrial context has proven invaluable background for subsequent contracts.

Working Relationships staff has responded to a wide range of presenting problems and situations, a diverse client population (including indigenous Australians and recent migrants) and requests for assistance from every level of these organizations.

ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND

Working Relationships draws from approximately 20 KinWay counsellors across four metropolitan branches and four country centres using the most experienced of these counsellors.

KinWay is a Commonwealth Government-approved Relationship Counselling and Education service and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with the Training Accreditation Council. All Working Relationships counsellors are trained and experienced in individual, couple and family counselling; and several of our senior staff are also experienced trainers, mediators and organisational consultants.

Anglicare WA is a large social service agency and its divisions have clearly established guidelines for confidentiality, professionalism and the provision of high quality services to all clients - regardless of culture, religion or personal circumstances. Working Relationships utilises the infrastructure of KinWay and value-adds to the service by linking with other Anglicare WA programs as needed.

Income from Working Relationships is used to subsidize community services.
