Anglicare
WA is committed to the principles of best practice and KinWay
Relationship Services, which includes Working Relationships
, has the following processes in place:
- All programs are
subject to team-based strategies, outcome measurement, accessibility
provisions and ethics of social justice and cost effectiveness.
- All counsellors
meet standardised supervision requirements and are subject to yearly
performance appraisals. Record keeping and report writing is also standardised
and audited on a regular basis.
- Confidential counselling
records document issues presented, assessment, intervention, outcome
and follow-up plan and are securely stored with no identifying details.
- All education programs
are built in modules which have been well researched. All are subject
to satisfaction surveys, the results of which are analysed and used
to make improvements where necessary.
- Personnel practices
are fully documented including recruitment, induction, performance management
and remuneration, and are available to staff in a comprehensive Counselling
Manual which details full professional standards, ethics and practices.
- The Manual documents
the rights and responsibilities of clients in relation to confidentiality,
the right to access information from files, and the right to seek a
change in counsellor if this is required.
CONFIDENTIALITY
In
all matters the identity or concerns of the client/s shall remain absolutely
confidential, except where informed written consent is given by the client
to release information, or where situations arise in which the failure
to disclose information is likely to result in imminent threat of harm
to the client/s or others.
Invoices
are supplied using client code numbers instead of staff names. Records
are kept in secure, locked filing cabinets.
